Today the business is led by brothers Michael and Mark Lovie, supported by a dedicated team working across multiple quarry and production sites. While their operations have grown, our approach remains the same (a shared concept with Watson Alarms):
Straightforward service, dependable supply and a commitment to doing the job right.
Watson Alarms have a long-established business relationship with Lovie Quarry & Concrete Products which has grown over the 20+ years from the first intruder alarm system at a single site to multiple Intruder and CCTV Systems across many of the live commercial sites.
As technology advances so have the functional capabilities of security systems installed on the sites. Over the last few years Mark and Michael have invested significantly in upgrading the equipment installed at their sites to allow for the operations to be viewed remotely. This provides vital tools not only to help with crime prevention but to monitor and improve health and safety and general operational elements of the business. All these aspects are important to all businesses where cost efficiencies and growing expectancy to follow and demonstrate safe working practices are vital.
The Cowbog site near New Pitsligo was the most recent site to benefit from an upgrade and expansion of the CCTV System with the installation of a 19 camera IP System to provide clear high-definition picture quality, day and night, across strategic external and internal locations on the site. In agreement with the Client, in an effort to keep the cost of the project down and due to the large size of the site, the customer arranged for the cabling to be installed by their own personnel allowing for Watson Alarms Engineers to then come along to install the new cameras and terminate the cabling.
All cameras are cabled back either to a `localised` CCTV power over ethernet (PoE) network switch and then in turn transmitted back to the Network Video Recorder(NVR) or directly to the NVR within the main office building which allows all cameras could be viewed live or reviewed later in high-definition images both onsite or remotely, via a network connection, on a PC/Laptop or mobile device with the appropriate software/app and user credentials.
Once the commissioning was completed a full handover and demonstration/training session was held with the Client to ensure they were completely satisfied and fully conversant with the system’s functionality and operation.
Please contact Watson Alarms if you need advice on how to ensure your system complies and/or give us an opportunity to quote for your CCTV System requirements whether it be domestic and commercial we provide the same high level of customer service. Watson Alarms want to secure and keep new Clients for many years to come!
